PowerRetrieve LITE
is a Windows based document archiving solution that provides unparalleled
retrieval of documents based on their actual textual content as well as
property field values (labels assigned to the documents).
Full textual content retrieval is achieved by automatically extracting and
indexing text from office documents (MS Word, etc) and processing scanned
paper documents through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and indexing the
resultant text files.
Documents are indexed into repositories called ‘File Rooms’ and are stored
in document folders within the file rooms.
In the LITE version of PowerRetrieve, all the software modules run
on one PC, networking functionality is not available and there is
an initial limit of 15,000 pages that can be indexed. Extensions to the
number of documents that can be indexed may be optionally purchased and the
software can be upgraded to the full-networked version for multi user access
as and when required.
